What does willing to heal, mean?
I know someone who is quite ill. I spend time thinking about him and I am just so curious about why he is unwilling to heal. Now I have not asked him that exact question, however I have spoken with him, made some suggestions with his permission and all of his responses were along the lines of “oh I already do that, I’m already really healthy, I’m not doing that”. Sounds like resistance to me. He also said to me at the end of our call in response to any of my suggestions “I’m not doing any of that stuff”. The thing is I guess, if what we were doing was working so well we wouldn’t be sick. There is always more we can be doing, things we may never have thought about before that can and would make a difference, if only we were open to considering them. Today I began to think ‘what does willing to heal mean?’ It would have to hold a different meaning for everyone. We all have our own perspective, beliefs, ideas, thoughts feelings.
What would being ‘willing to heal’ look like for you? would you consider ideas that you had not heard about? I feel it’s worth pondering not so much for the reason of ‘incase I get sick’ but rather, to simply think outside the box, summoning your wisdom.
I believe that healing requires courage, it asks you to step way outside of your comfort zone, to do something that you have never done before, to do a hundred things you have never done before. It pleads that you be patient forgiving and open. If you are sick, your mental, emotional and physical bodies are way out of harmony. How did you get there? Take a look at your life, what has been the most painful experience you have ever gone through? how did you cope with that pain? did you cope with that pain? does it mean anything to you whether you did or didn’t cope with that pain? I will tell you that pain you turn towards honestly and patiently will dissolve, pain you turn away from will fester, in other words this is likely the source of your illness. Why would a past mental and emotional experience make you sick? because at your core you are a vibrational being. Words, actions, thoughts and emotions are all forms of energy and they all have frequencies. When those words, actions, thoughts or emotions are negative or of a low vibration, they affect the body including our organs, mental and emotional states in turn. It is vital that we either address them in order to release them so that they do not take up residence in the body, eventually creating dis-ease OR we choose to make changes in how we think, speak and be from this day forward. We can always start fresh from today, this is a liberating option that many do not seem to realize they have the choice to make.
It been said time and time again we create our experience, we write our own story, we can heal our own life. So why is it that some do and some don’t? I believe it comes down to being open. What else could it be? no one wants to feel shitty on purpose right? So what is being open? Being curious, asking questions you have not asked before, speaking to people who have done their own healing, perhaps over hearing a conversation about healing at a coffee shop and then asking about it, anything that triggers you to want to know more, you ought to follow that thread, you never know where it may take you. What do you have to loose?
